10/19/25 - 1026/25 The Heart of Christmas )Whiskey Creek #7) by Brenda Novak Another novel in the Whiskey Creek series series, this one following Eve, the Hroup’s person who runs and operates the Little Mary’s Bed and Breakfast Inn in Whiskey Creek. Eve is feeling like an outcast in her group of friends lately as the only person still single and never been married with no children. Last year she did have a relationship with Ted, their famous author friend, but Ted’s heart really belonged to someone else and the spark just wasn’t there for him and Eve. Eve’s 35th birthday was upon her and she went out alone and managed to get herself a bit way to drunk, and didn’t something way not Eve like in the end! Consequences, actions and witnesses even if they seem to be good hearted intentions can turn back to bite you - you know where! Some people just like to make sure others know the latest scoop on what’s transpired in a small town, they can’t wait to let their tongues waggle away with the news! Eve’s dilemma and stress of knowing her future looks bleak makes her do things that are out of the ordinary for her. Her friends and co-workers are noticing she doesn’t seem to be her old self. Their concerns are valid because she’s gotten involved with someone way out of her league, but her heart is now in love and with this bad boy and she has more at stake than anyone realizes! She finally sets up with the ugly past if her new love, so she dies what she knows best, calling on her friends to help her out. They manage to hatch a plan and clear the plate for a future for her and the love of her future. Brenda continues a wonderful story of the Whiskey Creek friends and all that evolves along them. Making for a brilliant and glorified story of hope, happiness, and love.
