Of the 31,102 verses in the Bible, only three talk about ants and they are all in the book of Proverbs. What makes their mention significant is that the book of Proverbs is classified as a type of writing called wisdom literature, written by the wisest man on earth - Solomon. The important point of Solomon's record about ants is that he noticed their wisdom, work ethic, organisational and teamwork abilities for survival. He recommended studying them and emulating their wisdom and strategies. He actually commands lazy people to learn from the way ants live.

Solomon admired ants, because he observed that there are good lessons for people to learn from ants - wisdom that can benefit human communities.
