The Healing Man

Everyone in the Giles Center has a problem. The rotund man in Unit #1 is what you might call OCD, with particular attention paid to mothballs and his "private arsenal". The large, older fellow in #2 has a diminished mental capacity. He spends his mornings waving to strangers in rush hour traffic, and sometimes in funeral processions, because that's what Jesus wants him to do. The youngish woman in #3 has been suicidal because nothing has ever worked in her life. She exudes sex. In #4, the older Jewish lady is well-educated, respected as a scholar, and very, very wealthy. She is locked in a Purgatory of her own creation. The man who wears camouflage and lives in #5 is, in a word, "crazy", and the new fellow moving into #6 may have talked to God in a life-changing dream. For one week in the autumn of 1995, their lives came crashing together.
