Book Overview

A Classic Gothic novel that is both terrifying and memorable. Darkwood Hall is a hauntingly evil castle estate in the North of England, spread out along misty cliffs that overlook the sea. The manor house is a place of supernatural torture for it's unsuspecting heirs... a place where nightmares are born. Those condemned to reside there, will do so throughout all eternity. .After mysteriously inheriting Darkwood Hall, Craig Stewart arrives with his Great Dane Damian. He is later joined by two friends to assist him in converting the castle into a hotel. The castle estate is so dark, cold, and foreboding, his architect friend Haemish discourages him from doing a conversion, stating that no one will likely stay there. The entourage begin to have disturbing visions of malevolent previous heirs. As time passes these visions manifest into physical apparitions . They psychologically torture the inhabitants, which leads to death and despair within .Written in the styles of Henry James, Emily Bronte, and Daphne Du Maurier.
