Brought a tear to my 6 year old's eye

We lived in an apartment and crisscrossed our town looking for the perfect home. This book entered our lives at just the right moment. My wife read it and shed a tear. She then read it to my daughter who shed a tear which caused my wife to shed another tear. A couple of days later we found the perfect home (a round of tears for the whole family, please). This is a great story and the Halfpenny dolls, on which this book is based, are a fantastic throwback to the days before TV, Gameboys and paint guns. Hunt around for Barbara Kane's innovations, they never disappoint (this book was dedicated to her).
