THE HALF INCH ROPE - While on a cross-country trip, Alex meets several interesting people, among them a cute and petite country girl named Sandy. Sandy has a knife fetish, but otherwise appeals to Alex. He starts to work for Sandy's father just so he can be close to his love interest. But then, an accident happens and Sandy's father is killed. The girl is beautiful but her skin is a velvety green colour. After he revives her, she explains that her green skin was the indirect result of her professor grandfather's research into time travel. Puzzled, but intrigued, Tom gets involved with that research. However, he soon finds out that there are other people whose interests in time travel are motivated by greed and questionable behaviour.
