In the early years of the 20th century, boys growing up in the small Suffolk market town of Hadleigh attended the Bridge Street School, run by Mr Harriss. During the Great War, those same young men wrote letters home, to their families and to their old headteacher, from dusty deserts, muddy trenches, hospital beds and training camps. The one thing that bound them all together was their love for each other, their home town and for their teacher. This is their story.
