This is the fifth book in the 4th grade children's living science book series entitled, The Gumshoe Archives. It teaches the science concepts our environment and the different climates found on earth. It also teaches about the plant and animal life found in various ecosystems.

Each chapter contains a review exam to test the students knowledge of the information presented as well as a comprehensive exam at the end of the book. There are also helpful activity ideas at the beginning of each chapter to help the teacher facilitate the learning process.

The Storyline:

Mrs Fan C. Pants is the owner of a lodge at Fish Lake but she may not be the owner for long if she can't get rid of the Zombie that is scaring away her visitors. She calls Andy and Norsely for help. Join them as they follow the clues and risk their lives solving the case of The Zombie of the Lake. In the process they learn about the eco system, our wetlands, forests and lakes.
