The Guide is an emotional contemporary fiction centered around mental health. This story starts where the life of the narrator ends. Our narrator, unlike everyone else, finds themselves presented with a unique opportunity: Choose to pass over like others who have died or choose to stay and help the living who face similar hidden struggles. In a desperate effort to prevent fractured souls from following a similar fate, our narrator elects to stay behind and face unknown challenges before them. As such, it becomes a journey of self-discovery wherein we learn the value in helping another person in need, but we also experience the detrimental consequences of acting without compassion towards one another.
