Use your money in yet another way! Folded Art!

A dollar doesn't buy much, and every day it buys less. This little book gives one more use for "a dollar bill". The instructions are easy to understand.

A great book for intermediate origamists

I had purchased this book because I'm very into dollar folding, and I have to say that I have enjoyed that purchase. The book is full of unique models that you'll have fun both making and showing off. All the instructions are, for the most part, fairly clear, and if they aren't, you can simply look at what it should look like in the next step, then try to imitate it. You should keep in mind, though, that some of the folds you'll have to do/make are pretty advanced. I don't recommend this book to people who are just starting origami, or are inexperienced in the art.

A book is a book...

I bought this book recently, not for all of the projects therein however, only for the rings. There are several projects within this book that seem fun and probably would be, though, you see that I've not yet taken the time. The projects within this book are based around the idea of origami, given that you're using money instead of precut pieces of squared paper, some of what you find in this book is rather difficult. I have never passed the amateur stage with folding paper to create, maybe you'd have an easier time? In this book you'll learn to fold an eagle, a traditional ring, a turtle, a star and starfish, a lucky frog, a butterfly, flowers, angels, teddy bears, a pineapple, a heart ring, four-leafed clovers, a shirt, a high-heel shoe, a Christmas tree, a Rose, the Statue of Liberty, a box and finally a ring box. Some of what you'll find in this book resembles what it is supposed to be much more than others. You'll find that the turtle actually looks like a turtle, whereas the eagle could be any winged object, if that. The projects, as I've eluded, range from more simple tasks to ones that will keep you up for hours ranting and raving, hoping that god will intervene and illuminate what was done so wrongly. heh All in all, you'll have a good time. I've found that the turtle, the lucky frog, the heart ring and ring box, and the rose are the most presentable, though, the teddy bear, more complex, will astound you once you're finished! To anyone who likes origami, I would recommend this book. If you are an amateur such as myself, unless you have a strong will and persevere through tough tasks, I would find something a little more easy to help you get used to what you'll later be tackling. All in all, through happiness and frustration, this is a good book and surely worth what you'll be paying for it. If nothing else, you'll have something fun to do while sitting around at coffee with your friends.

American Money Folds

This item was sent quickly and was in good condition. One exception there were some duplicate pages that were placed in other chapters. A bit disconcerting but nonetheless a good buy for the money. the directions are much more difficult than I expected.

Fun on a buck

This was one of the funniest books to learn things from... dont get me wrong not all of them are winners but after you get the hang of it some of them are really fun to give away... I once spent an extra hour in a restarant folding dollors for the waite staff and ended up with a free meal out of it so it is a fun little trick to learn.
