Exploring the old place Lily learns about her family's hidden past, discovers mysterious rooms full of curious objects, and catches glimpses of tiny, flying creatures (that look a bit like, but since they are not real, could not possibly be, fairies ).

In Willow Hall it is quite believable a few fairies, a gaggle of gnomes or a dragon or two were secretly living in the forgotten rooms, but Lily knows it's best not let her imagination get the better of her.

Then one day, she finds a mysterious gateway and stumbles into a strange forest teeming with magical creatures and comes face to face with the possibility that maybe, just maybe, everyone is wrong, and fairies do exist.
