The Greek gods offer a set of learnable, ideal selves that are consistent with Evolutionary Psychology in ways that are far superior to ego/id/superego and self/unconscious. This paper describes 'frames' in organizing experience, proposes criteria for an ideal system of frames based on Evolutionary Psychology, and compares the Greek gods and the single self against these criteria.
