This is a story about a man who lived two thousand years ago. It tells about his achievements and his failures; some of the good things he did and a few of the bad things. All of these are found in history books, but please don't expect a history treatise in these pages. I hope to honor the historic facts of his life, but I have taken the liberty to imagine Paul's thoughts while he roamed the streets of Jerusalem as a young rabbinical student; and to guess at his concerns as he rode a clumsy donkey through the mountains of central Turkey. I can even visualize him debating Saint Stephen on Jewish theology, but then I must return to the reality that Paul actually chose to have Stephen stoned to death. It's the story of a very special man, who became The Greatest Roman.
