This book is a hard look at two of the most controversial subjects of all time, religion and democracy. It is controversial and it is meant to be. It is every person's right to believe whatever they want to and choose to believe. What is not acceptable is for anyone to try to force and impose their beliefs onto anyone else. A belief no matter how strong that belief is, does not necessarily mean that the belief is true. There is no doubt that historically both have much to answer for. The often heard defense of both is that, that was all history and that we are so much more enlightened now. In some respects that might well be true, but in many regards both religion and democracy are still seriously flawed. Keep an open mind and do your own research.
