The United States invaded and captured the port city of Veracruz on the Gulf coast. In the great scheme of things, that invasion had little effect. The United States held the city for seven months, but the revolution continued off and on for another fifteen years until it finally wound down due, for the most part, to simple war weariness.But, what if it happened differently?
