The text for this teaching is Genesis chapter 14 verses 18 through 20. "Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wi? he was the priest of God Most High. And he blessed him and said: 'Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth; blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand.' And he gave him a tithe of all." God spoke to the priests in the book of Malachi telling them that there was a connection between paying one's tithe and receiving the blessing of God. God designed the tithe to be exchanged for the blessing, but this revelation would not just be found in the last book of the Old Testament (Malachi) but also in the very first book of the Bible, the book of Genesis.
