In the Keeper's garden, plants are kept in tiny pots on high, narrow shelves. But one flower, The Great Dietes, says that it was not always this way. Once, their roots grew deep into the earth. Their leaves danced in cool rain. Their faces chased the sun. The Great Dietes speaks of the Meadow, where all things grow wild and free.

But not everyone enjoys his stories.

The Keeper, in his heavy boots, crushes their whispers with growls and grunts. The Great Dietes raises his voice and meets silence. He grows louder. After all, pots can break and walls can fall. The Meadow is calling! But how can they win, when so many have failed before them?
