Not sure about the seal flippers . . .

Recipes include Romaine and Orange Salad, Orange Juice Flip (similar to an Orange Julius), Chicken with Doughboys (Dumplings), Sour Cream Raisin Pie, Cranberry Chutney, and Marinated Onions in Sour Cream. You won't find Quebec's Poutine here, but there is a good recipe for the iconic Nanaimo Bars. Sadly, food maven Karlynn Johnston's favorite Flapper Pie (a vanilla-filled meringue) is not to be found here, but seal-flipper pie -- could it be anything but ghastly? -- is. No illustrations, but measurements are given in both standard and metric. My edition is spiral-bound. Recommended.
