The author, Charles Somervill, is a retired Presbyterian minister, serving his last eighteen years as pastor at First Presbyterian in Granbury, Texas. He has a PhD in Communication from The University of Oklahoma, teaching parttime in the communication departments of Texas Tech and TCU. He also holds a masters in psychology from Eastern New Mexico University and a masters in divinity from Louisville Presbyterian Seminary. He lives with his wife and cats in Granbury where they enjoy traveling, theater, pickleball and fishing.
