The book is a re-interpretation of the life of Jesus (Yeshua) set against the political turmoil of the age and the eschatological expectations of the Jews. In arriving at his reconstruction, Arthur Hagopian had recourse to several sources of both Biblical scholarship and Tibetan Buddhism where mention is made of Issa (another name for Jesus).
