The Good Shepherd

Can I tell of this Lord I adore and worship,

Clamor His faithfulness, sing of His Love so deep?

Can I try to describe the works His hand has wrought,

Sing of His gentleness, His heart of mercies fraught?

He has, through the epochs, eras and centuries,

All because of His love, our weaknesses buried.

He, the sole companion, the One who never fails,

He safeguards the whole world with His hosts of angels.

But I am just one voice, humble, feeble and meek,

And to praise this dear Lord loudly is what I seek.

So, I'd join the many, who, from the dawn of time,

Have sought to rightfully sing of their great I AM.

Glory, laud, and praises thus to the sweet Savior,

Who, upon His shoulders, with divine demeanor,

Leads His flock peacefully, back to their origin,

Back to their Creator, through all their thick and thin.
