The author takes you on a journey that you wont soon forget. The life and information between the pages of this book is bound to be helpful in the life of someone you might be encouraging. The writer begins his story with his childhood life in the bean fields and pepper fields of southeast Florida. His youthful life takes on many life scarring issues through no fault of his own. At ten years old he is run down by a drunk driver while riding his bicycle to the neighborhood store. He survives the accident but is left with much facial scarring. In middle school the writers life takes on new meaning and then suddenly begins to weave. In high school there is no turning back from the bad influences and life spirals out of control. To him school is a just a place of interest to pass time, life has no purpose and God is an unexplainable mystery. Connecting with street youths he falls into a life of crime and lands himself into the Florida prison system where he would serve sixty nine months which is twenty five percent of his twenty three year old life. While in prison he converts to Islam, becomes a Muslim and changes his name to spite his mother who he blames for brainwashing him with Christianity. After his release from prison he works numerous backbreaking, dangerous jobs for low pay. Finally it looks as if the storms of life has calmed and given him a break. And then all of a sudden he finds himself back in prison on a parole violation with no real answers to why. After his release there is no turning back and he has a vision. He converts back to Christianity. Lifes hardships pounds away at him through betrayal and one bad relationship after another. God blesses him with the purchase of his first home in the middle of new struggles. A love for work, home ownership and independence keeps him dedicated to work and he invest in the improvements of his home.
