The God Dilemma: Exploring the world's greatest delusion

By: Wickler, Richard N. Van

Stop suffering over it.

You have asked the question more times than you can count. Late at night, in moments of grief, during stretches of loneliness or loss: Is there a God? What happens after death? Why does life feel like an endless cycle of dissatisfaction? You have searched for answers in churches, in books, in conversations that went nowhere. You have been told to "just have faith," but faith without evidence has never quite settled the restless mind you carry. And yet, certainty feels impossibly out of reach.

The God Delusion: Exploring the world's greatest delusion does not tell you what to believe. Instead, author Richard N. Van Wickler offers something far more useful: a framework for thinking clearly. Drawing on personal experience with homelessness, illness, violence, and heartbreak, Van Wickler introduces the Reality Scale, a practical tool for measuring the authenticity of any claim, from the existence of God to the promises of modern institutions. Across six concise chapters spanning religion, the universe, and the self, this thought-provoking novelette challenges bias, dismantles default thinking, and invites you to build the most important relationship you will ever have: the one with yourself.

Inside, you will discover:

- The Reality Scale: a simple, powerful method for evaluating truth versus fantasy on any topic

- How confirmation bias and institutional thinking keep you trapped in inherited beliefs

- Why knowing yourself is the single most transformative act you can undertake for a more peaceful life
