Colonialism and neo-colonialism have been blamed for lack of economic development and economic dependency of the poorer nations in the world. The critical point addressed is that core, wealthy societies in a world economic system exploit weaker and poorer nations. Thus, unequal economic, political, and military relationships exist between these countries which may lead to terrorism in the world system.
