The Giving Planet

The Giving Planet is a story of the relationship between a little girl and the planet she lives on. The story follows the girl's playful interaction and joy with the planet. But then she begins to grow up and soon finds interest in having material things. She loses sight of the whimsical play she once had with the planet. She then begins taking whatever the planet is happy to offer, much to the adverse effect on the planet. The girl continues to ask the planet for more and more of it's resources. Each time in doing so she destroys what she once loved most about the planet. She finally returns as an old woman, who is sorry for all that she's done. This time however, she's accompanied by her 3 little grandchildren. These little girls represent the new generation of thinkers. Ones who can visualize a world like that of their grandmother's childhood. One where renewable energy sources can bring back the planet that one was, and the planet was happy.
