World War I France

Absolutely Stunning Story, Beautifully written...it will linger on your mind..long after your done. This Novel Captivates you right from the start...an amazing story that brings past ( world war I) to present (2006). It will captivate you with emotions and sometimes tragic heartbreaking moments.There is Dignity and grace ...complex personalities, yet loveable and fierce at the same time. Fans of Historical Fiction will Absolutely Love this story that pulls at your heartstrings...I have nothing but praise for this Fantastic Author. The center of this story revolves around a 100 yr old painting of Sophie, that brings her into court at the present time of 2006, It is the layers of Sophie's past that are revealed, through the courts that you learn of the Historical background story of Sophie , and Liv's fight for what is right and just that let's you love their character, and personalities, faults and bravery...To the very End !!! Excellent, Excellent Story !! Wish I could leave more than Five Stars !! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

WOW - I loved this book as I did "Giver of Stars". If you have read ONE of Moyes' books you'll want to read all of them. Each story is an original tale full of twists and turns on every page. LOVE LOVE LOVE this author!

Oh My Goodness!!!! I am sunk, hook, line and Sinker! JOJO FAN!!

The waves in this Getaway plot are heart wrenching, heart throbbing. I am a new JoJo fan. Along the trip pick up on a little history from WWI, in France. Read it if you enjoy Drama with unexpected outomes.

kept me interested right to the last page

I've read a couple of her books before and liked them. This one was no different. She weaves her storyline with characters & situations that you can identify with. It makes you feel like you're right there with them. I will definitely read more of her books.
