Aletheia is a melancholy goth living in New Orleans. In the wake of her friend's murder comes Martin, the unconventional detective with Santeria tattoos on his arms; Lilly, an eccentric and detached tarot reader with a propensity for saying unusual and vaguely prophetic things, and Edgar, the emotionally needy drug dealer that's infatuated with Aletheia. Employing occult knowledge, intuition and tarot cards, they each try to solve the murders as the killings pile up amidst a complex web of social relationships.
