Amber so eloquently writes of how beauty can rise from brokenness. She shines a light for others in pain and through her writing teaches you how you can overcome grief and live in the fullness of peace and joy. You will feel like her best friend…..that you are sitting with her and she is talking with you. The Girl on the Bathroom Floor is a good reminder that grief and joy can coexist. Like Amber writes, there is no need for them to compete for space in your heart. “Joy can find its way back into our hearts, blooming right alongside the grief.” She is real, raw, transparent and vulnerable. Sharing her feelings about grief and her experiences letting you know that it’s messy and not pretty. But even through the messiness, uncertainty, and pain God can bring new life and joy.
