In loving someone else, it's often easy to lose sight of yourself. You lose who you are, the very essence of your being. But is there really such a thing as losing yourself? Or maybe at different phases in our life we are different versions of ourselves and not necessarily versions that we like. In journeying through life and relationships I learned that certain people and situations come into your life to help you grow, help you become who you are meant to be. The lessons and messages are always there but in love we can be foolishly blinded. When it feels good it feels good, and when it hurts, it really hurts. Although it hurts while going through it, and it may even hurt afterwards, it's necessary. Everything I endured and experienced changed me as a person and that's the journey we'll embark on with this book. This is my story of coming to terms with being in an unhealthy and toxic relationship. At times I felt no one would understand or could relate, then I encountered women with the same or similar experiences and realized we are never alone in our journey but can relate more to the girl next door than we thought. These are our stories.
