The Girl From Jones Beach

When cheesecake artist Bob Randolph (Ronald Reagan) is offered $100,000 to appear on TV with the model for his world-famous pinups, he's forced to find a woman who doesn't exist. The best-kept secret in the business, "The Randolph Girl" is actually made up of 12 different models, each with her own shapely feature. So when he stumbles upon Ruth Wilson (Virginia Mayo), the spitting image of his curvy creation, Bob soon discovers she's a well-rounded teacher who'd rather be admired for her brains than looks. Posing as a thick-accented Czech, Bob enrolls in her class for new citizens, where the smitten artist hopes to win over Ruth by focusing more on her facts than figure. Written by Academy Award -winner* I.A.L. Diamond (Some Like It Hot), The Girl from Jones Beach was one of Ronald Reagan's personal favorites, recommending the movie for '70s film festivals and screening it at Camp David during his presidency. * Writing (Story and Screenplay -- written directly for the screen): The Apartment (1960)
