Series: Russians in the USA, Volume 3 The Book is in the Russian language. It is a book of stories written by Zoia Sproesser (Burkhart, Eliseeva) from 2007 to 2012. Some of the stories were published in online Russian-English magazines. Yet others were never published before. These are favorite author's stories: about dating and other observations about culture and people in the culture: Russians, Americans, as well as other nationalities. Such stories as "A Can of Tuna", "Upset Stomach", "A Nostalgic Cat-Man", and the chapter of Jokes are included in the book. The book can be easily read as a continuation of the first Zoia's book "The Girl from California", and/or the second book of stories, with the same name, or it can be read as a separate story book about life in California. Whatever way it is read, the reader, as always, is up for a pleasant surprise at Zoia's humor, lively jokes, as well as the look on the life in the American culture - its ups and downs, its real people, as seen by an optimistic Zoia. The book is very informative and can be used by Russian language instructors, and students as a great additional language tool of familiarizing with Russian intercultural perceptions , as well as native speaker's idioms, and Russian sense of humor. Zoia is a bilingual professional who lives and works in California. She has a Master's Degree in Education and eight years of Spanish studies, that expands her cultural perception on literature to the three world languages. She has lived in California and been published for 16 years.
