A moving drama that I couldn't put down.

A gifted Jewish violinist writes her memoirs about surviving the Nazi take over of the countries that she performs in. A parallel story is the efforts of two American lawyers to prevent a corporation from taking over an Italian villa owned by an elderly Jewish woman. The two stories are woven together with a surprise and emotional ending. The novel is a review of the Nazis through the eyes and experiences of a Jewish woman, her friends, lover and fellow musicians. I bought 3 copies to send to my daughters to read.

World ll, and current years

I have to say I've never read a book by this author before...But there is no doubt in my mind I will read whatever he writes! A Fabulous story..told between the time lines of 2017, and the early part of world war ll, as Hitler comes to power, and starts spreading his hatred and heartache. Not Once will you feel frustrated between the different story time lines, and the characters. If anything..you'll just want to keep reading this page Turner to find out what happens to the Characters during the war, to the characters that lead up to the "Now", and why we are here, part of the story! It is truly a page Turner, filled with happiness, hope, heartache and ultimately redemption..through all the layers of lies, deception, and corruption at the hands of the Nazi's. I would recommend this book a hundred times.A excellent read, and great story !!!

Another Great Balson book

Helps you understand the horror of those-- mostly Jews living thru the evils in Hitler Germany during the pre thru post WWII era. Balson is excellent helping understand life in those horrible times. Another good read.
