The Ghosts of Zeron-3

By Ronda Anson

Lieutenant Commander George Carson died heroically on Zeron-3, but he didn't stay dead. Thirteen days later he reappeared at the explorer base where he had once been a squadron leader. He appeared and disappeared, not just once but many times. His replacement, Edward Reed, soon discovered that George was not only appearing and disappearing around the Spaceport, where his ship was kept, but he was also haunting his former room. So, Edward found himself sharing his private quarters with its former occupant, George, who was not prepared to accept a roommate. After being tossed out of bed on a regular basis, Edward gave up and moved to another room. However, George's fight for his room was not over. A pair of young Lieutenants named Jade Jeffreys and Samantha Slagle, moved in and also objected to his presence and his not-so-funny practical jokes. George was particularly obnoxious to Sam but left Jade entirely alone. The reason for this and for the return of George from the dead became the focus of a crisis that had repercussions throughout the Union of Worlds.
