On the eve of her family's move to a remote village in Alberta, Emma has a terrifying recurring nightmare. Though she is shaken, she chalks the dream up to nerves. After all, who wouldn't have reservations about living under the shadow of Turtle Mountain, the site of Canada's deadliest rockslide?

Their new house is quaint, and its surroundings beautiful, but soon after the move, Emma is troubled by strange events. Unsure if she can even trust her own instincts, she is isolated with the growing fear that her family is in danger.

Unsettled and searching for answers, she befriends Felix, an older resident of the area. He begins to tell her the history of her house, relating the tragic, often ghostly stories of the families that lived there before.

And as each tale of supernatural terror unfolds, Emma realizes that her family might be in greater danger than she possibly could have imagined.
