After 14 years, still remember the story...

The Ghost of Skinny Jack frightened me terribly when I was 8-years-old. However, it was very compelling. Illustrations have been given editorial criticisms, but they stuck with me forever. The body of jack was colored in this awesome gray-blue that has haunted me for all these years. Children love to be frightened, but this was scared me so much, I remember it now as a 22-year-old. Bear caution if you're going to read this to a child.
