The Ghost Dance

Over a Century ago, one man experienced a vision, his relatives still remember it. One day, a woman, standing alone on a dirt path that wound around the lake, also experienced a vision. Now the link has been forged....between two histories. Join this woman on her journey through a little known history as she truly discovers freedom, respect for the lessons life has taught her, but most importantly, herself. This novel is fiction. Despite taking some pages out of history, it remains a fictional depiction based upon the knowledge I have gained through several of my Native friends, attending many Midwestern PowWows as well as a visit to the Pine Ridge Lakota Reservation for an extended weekend. I do not claim to "know" more than that. A few Native friends saw a bit of it and liked what they read. So, this being said, if there is any historical elements misrepresented by what I have written, please forgive me. I have the utmost respect for Native Ways, and believe me, I cried for a week after having my DNA checked and found out I have no blood ties to any tribes. However, despite this, the Red Road can be found in my heart and my soul. I end by saying "Wopila " to all who helped me with their knowledge and support Aho.
