I created this get home bag for my wife because she's often away from home, alone, and as she puts it, "doesn't want to think about such things." My plan was to design a get home bag that was lightweight for her, inexpensive for me, and easy enough that anyone can use it, even children. It's not filled with fluff items like most get home bags are and, although I tailored it for her, the contents are useful for men, too. You can even use the detachable fanny pack for everyday carry (EDC) if you like or for situations where carrying a backpack may be inadvisable. This book isn't for a bug out situation, wilderness survival, or even extended survival scenarios of weeks or longer. It's all about one very crucial task that most people, even preppers, get wrong when minutes count: returning you or your spouse home safely, where you can regroup and resupply as quickly as possible after disaster strikes.
