The Gathering is a meaphoric journey through the scriptures. Those familiar with the Bible, will see countless symbols, themes, and events from scripture, metaphorically portrayed throughout. The story begins with a remnant, the chosen, who are blessed with unique gifts for completing a great quest of vast importance. To an eagle, the gift of true sight; only he can see the mark of the chosen. To a young lion, miraculous faith; to a black sheep, a selfless heart; to a subtle serpent, the keenest of intellect; and to a white wolf, an unyielding hope in times of despair. Guided by their dreams, these animals sense they are on the edge of a great precipice. They heed a peculiar calling as they are drawn to a mysterious mountain, not fully aware of why they are going there.This story was written and illustrated for parents to read to their children as a bedtime story. A companion daily devotional with seven scriptures for each of the fifty two chapters in this book, is currently in the works.
