This Exploration Companion accompanies the book by the same author, The Future of Christian Love: In Search of Living Water. For use by individuals or groups, the goal is to address church and community needs in joining and growing together with full inclusion, both in and outside of our sanctuary doors. The emphasis is on reaching and embracing the young, the diverse, and the disadvantaged. Discussion and materials are from the perspective of a lay Christian and social services professional, not a formally trained minister or theologian. Participants consider foundation concepts of Christian love as God's love in their lives. Building on these concepts, participants seek to discover how Christian faith and principles can be paired with recognition of changing social conditions to light our paths. This is an extensive study, but it is not a lock-step curriculum, nor is there is a predesignated timeline for completion. In support of widely differing needs, the exploration companion includes a substantial selection of grist for a variety of mills.
