The Further Adventures of the $700 Pony

Just as much fun as the original $700 pony book! To horse people, it all makes complete sense --- scary thought! Ellen is a wonderful writer, her husband is a gem, but once her kids read what she's written about them, I hope it doesn't stop her writing career.

Ellen does it again

When you get your copy, first, go to the bathroom, second pick up the kleenex box and third, find a quiet corner where you won't be disturbed. You are going to end up laughing so hard, you will cry. It's a great read, and you will want to do it all at once. I bought for all my horse friends, and my husband already stole my copy to read. Here's hoping that there will be a third book. I'm still waiting for the port-a-john story....although it's not really $700 related.

Another great book

I have been waiting way too long for the 2nd book about the adventures of Ellen, her family and animal friends. Great book. I'm buying more for Christmas gifts like I did with the last book.

Wonderful, entertaining book

I didn't think anything could be as hilarious and fun as the original $700 Pony Book, but I was wrong. The Further Adventures of the $700 Pony is even better, and would make a wonderful gift for anyone who enjoys horses, or just a great story about the everyday situations of a busy family. Ellen has written a great read that will be enjoyed by anyone who has ever had to juggle animals, kids, a farm or house and then has the unexpected pop up at the worst possible time. She really reminds me of the great Erma Bombeck.

You need this book

I fully enjoyed every page of this book. It is impossible to put down once you pick it up, despite the fact that each chapter is its own, tidy little story. (Ellen, you owe me four hours of sleep....) Thumbs up, once again, to the $700 Pony and her new pal, the Wee Spotted Pony. They've even met approval with the 17-year-old Geek Boy, who would rather not associate with any equine, period. Well done! Encore, encore! (Really. I mean that. Encore!)
