This book is about deep talk, which is the language of sages that uses proverbs and other deeply resonant ancient figures of speech to celebrate life's beauties, to unveil life's mysteries, and to take on life's challenges. In this work, Kyko-K breathes new life in African deep talk. He uses proverbs as the foundations around which he weaves poems, in which he highlights how a wisdom-seeker keeps his cool in the eye of the storm, cracks the codes of creativity, and creates moral understandings and spiritual commitments to bring the best out of others. The result is the re-creation of an ancient genre of poetry that flourished in pre-colonial Africa. Kyko-K has coined the term of "wisdom poetry" for this re-created genre of poetry.
