The book is an introductory text for beginners studying ethics in college. It provides a brief introduction to the concept of moral philosophy the nature and standard of morality and the three different perspectives of moral reasoning. The book is designed to be used by lecturers who wish to provide their students with conceptual clarity and expose them to ethical theories and ethical decision-making when faced with ethical dilemmas. The concepts of responsibility and stakeholder management have been added in order to broaden the focus from the more traditional field of ethics. This combination provides a more comprehensive perspective that allows us to move beyond discussions about the difference between right and wrong to focus on relationships and responsibilities to others. Throughout the book there are activities that will challenge students to think, to agree or disagree with ethical theories and to make decisions under difficult circumstances. Students should not be afraid to take a stance as this will enhance their learning and enjoyment of the book. Several cases in ethics and multiple choice questions have also been added to further enhance learning and comprehension. The book is a powerful resource for both lecturers and students. ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Roland R Gbondo is the founder and general overseer of the Ethics and Integrity Club a student led and campus based ethics and integrity movement at the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM), a constituent college of the University of Sierra Leone (USL). He holds a B.Sc. Hons. in Economics from Fourah Bay College (FBC), a constituent college of USL and an MPhil in Economics from the University of Ghana in Legon, Ghana. Roland is an associate lecturer of ethics at IPAM. He has more than ten years of research experience in the field of moral philosophy, business, and management. His remarkable service with IPAM earned him a meritorious award in 2015. A Handbook of Ethics and Responsibility was his first major writing.
