Trip to Ice Cream Island

The "Friendship Club" is a new line of "Strawberry Shortcake" books designed for slightly older fans of the series. These are chapter books and each is about sixty pages long, with five chapters. It's a wonderful new series that maintains the excellence of the television show. This is the third book in the series, "The Friendship Trip," the kids are all bored when the sweltering heat of a hot summer keeps them from their favorite activities. They discuss possible trip ideas before finally deciding on a trip to Ice Cream Island --- the home of their filly friends, including Honey Pie Pony. Everyone is excited about this trip except Orange Blossom. She tries to speak up against the trip, but won't say what's bothering her, and so the kids just talk her into it. Just what is bothering Orange Blossom? And can it be resolved in time to save the trip? These are the questions for readers to ponder as they read "The Friendship Trip." In the end, I think readers will be ultimately satisfied by how things come together. The book features mini-illustrations throughout, but is mostly text-based. Included with the book is one "Berry Point" --- designed to be collected and redeemed at the show's official website.
