But when Wells discovers Ada's diary-three years of unfiltered pain, her admission that his leaving shattered her ability to trust, her secret that she still loves him-Ada retreats into furious silence, convinced his sudden devotion is pity, not redemption.

Now the frequency is intensifying. The paranormal manifestations are becoming violent. And Ada must decide whether the boy who once left her is worth trusting with the ghost of who she used to be.
