The Freaky Forest

My book is about a fantasy group of cross creatures who come together through a very difficult journey they were forced to make. In my book you will meet Molly the Squir-mo-rat, Carmen the Cock-a-mouse, Felix the Spy-ant, Herman the Drag-bee, Sidney the sun, Dennis the Worm-an-ator and many other delightful characters. The whole concept of this story started one night when we were out with family and it was starting to get dark and we saw something run across in front of us. One of the children said it looked like a rat....; then someone else said "No its a squirrel".....then "No its a mouse"......and lastly one of the children said it was a cockroach.......Suddenly I put the creatures together and said No its a Cock-a-mouse, and a Squir-mo-rat and so on. Odd as they may look to the outside world they all feel perfectly loved and accepted for who they are within this wonderful group sending a message to young readers that its okay to be different. As their homes are destroyed by things changing in our world they all had to move and now live peaceful and happy in the Freaky Forest until one day Dennis the mean old Worm-an-tor and Felix the sly Spy-ant hatch an evil plan to rid themselves of all the happy creatures.
