The Fracture Hunters: Episode 3: The Shadow in the Tunnel

By P.D. Cain

What if the monsters hunting you were running from something worse?

Finn Carter never wanted to be a hero. But when shadow creatures begin stalking the abandoned subway tunnels beneath Boston, he and his team have no choice but to investigate. Three people have vanished. The darkness is spreading. And something unnatural is tearing holes in reality itself.

**A supernatural threat unlike anything they've faced**

Armed with enhanced abilities granted by an ancient guardian, seventeen-year-old Finn joins tactical genius Zara Mitchell and brilliant analyst Mei-Lin Park deep underground. What they find defies explanation: towering shadow beings that shouldn't exist in our dimension, desperately trying to possess innocent victims.

But when Finn touches one of the creatures, he discovers a terrifying truth-they're not invaders. They're refugees. And the thing hunting them is far worse than anyone imagined.

Courage means protecting everyone-even monsters

Now Finn must make an impossible choice: destroy the shadow creatures to save humanity, or trust his instincts and help them escape the void-hound-a reality-devouring entity that consumes everything in its path. One wrong move could doom his friends. One moment of hesitation could unleash darkness upon the world.
