The poetry contained within this book flows from the three great loves I've been so very fortunate to share in my life. My poems reflect these loves I have shared in the past and share today. I hope they show the lust and love, the occasional feelings of loss which these loves allowed me to feel, as well as the life lessons I have been given along the way. Why write poetry when I am a published writer of prose? I think because poetry, if I can successfully find the key words, allows me to share an intense insight into what I did or felt or thought. These insights can't easily be stretched over the wordiness of prose without losing that intensity.
