Darren did send Hannah to the castle for safety. Not wanting to trouble her great-grandfather, the girl did initially agree to stay away from the fight.
However, Hannah knows the stakes are high. Recently, having discovered to play a major role in saving the dragons from evil wizards, doesn't make her want to stay down anyway.
Of course, things don't go quite as planned. Not even a little and soon Hannah is in way over her head.
Being the owner of a wand, doesn't make one a good witch. That is for sure. At least her brother Dan helps out and a fantastic beast comes to her rescue - more than once.
