The message of the cross is not about the cross itself, but it is the Christ Jesus who died on it. So, let us avoid lifting the cross and lifts up the Christ Jesus far above everything. My message here is that, we have to be careful not to fall into the danger of idolizing the cross because, the experience of the cross for Christ Jesus a thing of shame, pain and humiliation on His part. Though He died on the cross but, the cross was a mere passage or channel for Him and now, the cross is empty. He is no longer on it and He is no longer on the grave where He was buried. He left there and lives far above all principalities and powers. He is at the right hand of God. We should be looking up there and not the cross of shame and pain.
