Very in depth book

Very in depth book with great attention to detail. Would recommend for those looking for a book that is heavy into detailing. Wonderful pictures, though I do wish they were in color to help bring out the detail. Considering when this book was originally written and the pictures taken, I'm grateful for what they were able to capture what they did on these lovely pieces. This is not a book for a quick light read. You can however gain an appreciation for the amount of work that went into these early firearms and their developement in Europe.

Classic guide

A highly recommended guide to both amateurs and professionals, especially for collectors and dealers. Solid survey of the history, origin, definitions, development of the most noble invention - flintlock. It's not a coffee table book, but black and white illustration cover almost every aspects and all types of guns are represented. This is a "must have" introduction very much in use for several decades.

Flintlock

This is a great book for any gun enthusiast. With detailed pictures chronicling the history of the flintlock, this book really takes you into the construction, evolution, and decoration of the flintlock over the years. It is a fascinating read that I couldn't be happier I bought.
